A leading proponent of ethical jewellery and voted one of “Britain’s most inspiring jewellery designers” Ute Decker works in recycled silver, bio-resin and fairtrade gold to create minimalist sculptural jewellery.
Ute Decker’s jewellery practice is influenced by the ancient Japanese philosophy of wabi sabi and enriched by her experience in other mediums such as sculpture, textiles, paper and ceramics. In her London studio Ute combines organic and architectural forms to create wearable sculptures as individual and limited edition statement pieces, with no two creations the same either in shape, texture or finish.
Described by the Financial Times as “the architectural jeweller”, Ute’s work celebrates the expressiveness of an essential simplicity which has made her jewellery distinctive and treasured objets d’art to be worn as well as collected.
